CQC proudly empowers people from all walks of life to personally protect themselves from common crime. We do this by giving people information that they can use every day to avoid placing themselves in situations that can lead to them becoming victims, and teaching them skills that are easy to apply in real time situations when there are no other options.
Through corporate South Africa, we are able to teach self-protection to many people who would otherwise not have the opportunity to invest in their safety. We teach simple easy to remember techniques that can be used in a multitude of situations to ensure the best possible outcome in a given situation.
It is better to be prepared and hope you never need it, than to not have a clue and end up a victim of crime.
THE FACTS
Everyone at sometime or another has been touched by a crime, whether it be assault, robbery, hijacking, home invasion, road rage etc…..the statistics speak for themselves:
Last year 156 243 people were victims of common assault in South Africa.
A vehicle is hijacked every 32 minutes.
There were 50 108 reported cases of sexual assault.
20 336 murders and 18 233 instances of attempted murder.
Every 2 minutes there is a rape in South Africa, and it is estimated that only 1 in 20 rapes are actually reported.
Every 6 hours a woman in South Africa is killed by a person known to her.
Just over R21 million has been stolen at ATM’s from South Africans last year.
